Calculating Your Bonus

When you claim the Leon Casino bonus, you typically receive a deposit match plus free spins. Let’s break down the math with a realistic example.

Example offer: 100% match bonus up to NZ$200 + 50 free spins on a slot game. The wagering requirement is 35x the bonus amount.

Step 1: Deposit and bonus. Deposit NZ$50. You get NZ$50 bonus (100% match). Total balance: NZ$100 (NZ$50 real + NZ$50 bonus).

Step 2: Free spins value. Suppose each free spin is valued at NZ$0.20. Total free spins value = 50 × NZ$0.20 = NZ$10. This amount is added to your bonus balance (or as a separate bonus).

Step 3: Wagering requirement. Applied to the bonus amount (NZ$50 + NZ$10 = NZ$60). Wagering = NZ$60 × 35 = NZ$2,100. You must place bets totalling NZ$2,100 before withdrawing any winnings from the bonus.

Step 4: Expected loss. If the game RTP is 96%, expected loss while wagering = NZ$2,100 × (1 – 0.96) = NZ$84. Since your bonus is only NZ$60, the expected loss exceeds the bonus—this illustrates why you should prioritise high-RTP games.

Max win from free spins: Often capped (e.g., NZ$100). Check the terms.
